The photographs were taken on Fuji Photo Day on June 28, 2003, at Pacific Bell Park which was renamed AT&T Park. The SF Giants played the Oakland A’s that day with Barry Zito getting the start for the A’s and Kirk Rueter starting for the Giants. The Giants won the game 8-7 with Felix Rodriguez getting the win and Keith Foulke taking the loss for the A’s.
I took the pictures with my first digital camera, a Nikon E5700 model. Digital cameras were new to me back then and I was pleased that I did not have to carry and constantly reload film in the camera but thought the image quality of film was still better than digital. Digital photography has come a long way since then and now I am totally sold on it.
