I went to a San Francisco Giants night game in 1991 and arrived 2 hours earlier just when the gates were opened. I enjoyed going early to the Stick before fans entered the stadium. The solitude of an empty stadium always was a peaceful experience. I would roam around the entire stadium to see how the light would show off its beauty. I enjoyed taking the photographs in the late afternoon to get the long shadow effect. Also this lighting gave a more dramatic effect in the photograph.
Take photographs of scenery that you are in love with. Your photographs should display the emotions you feel about a place. I was in love with this stadium for many reasons, and I tried to capture the dramatic images of the Stick.
