Why Candlestick Park Pictures Are Important to Maintain Old Relationships

So what is the story behind this old Candlestick Park Buddy Photograph? When I worked part-time at Lucky Supermarket during my college years, my co-workers invited me to go to Candlestick Park San Francisco Giants games. Hence these old buddies were kind to include me on these fun outings. Recently, one of the buddies in… Continue reading Why Candlestick Park Pictures Are Important to Maintain Old Relationships

St. Francis of Assisi looking out at Candlestick Park

In the late 1980’s, I shot this photograph of Candlestick Park. In those days, the parking lot was just dirt. Interestingly, St. Francis of Assisi looked out towards the dirt parking lot. Also, the triangular red support beams on the circumference of the Stick gives an interesting artistic look. As I walked across the dirt… Continue reading St. Francis of Assisi looking out at Candlestick Park

Missing St Francis At Candlestick Park

274 – Front view of the Saint Francis of Assisi Statue with Candlestick Park in the background. Photograph taken in the late 1980’s.

The St Francis of Assisi Statue lit up with the setting sun at Candlestick Park in 1988 when the stadium and statue were still there. Now, they are both gone from this location. When the sun shone thru the halo around the head of the statue, it was truly magnificent. Old SF Gate Article about… Continue reading Missing St Francis At Candlestick Park

There is not a single person in this photograph. Solitude allowed me to examine the architecture and design of this great sports… Continue reading Alone at Candlestick Park

The weather was fantastic this day with sunshine and a light breeze. I took this picture so long ago that there were… Continue reading Picture Perfect Day at Candlestick Park for SF Giants Game

Candlestick Park Red Chair Flare

This Candlestick Park Red Chairs photograph was shot in the later afternoon before a night game. These chairs are the best memorabilia to remember the Stick! Maybe one day my wife will allow me to own an actual chair. I did buy an orange seat to use as a background for shooting my photo products.… Continue reading Candlestick Park Red Chair Flare

What was on the Southside of Candlestick Park?

Do you remember the southern part of Candlestick Park. I took this shot in 1988. I love looking at the design of the red pattern of the support beams circling the outside of the stadium. The vintage cars in the parking lot remind us of this eta in the 80’s. Notice the ramp which leads… Continue reading What was on the Southside of Candlestick Park?

Bustling Activities at Candlestick Park

A warm afternoon at Candlestick Park with fans milling and walking around the upper and mid-level concourse levels.  The walking ramps were well traveled by fans going to their destinations. There will be an artist reception of some Candlestick Park photographs at Bazaar Cafe, 5927 California St, SF, CA on Monday, September 26, from 7:00pm… Continue reading Bustling Activities at Candlestick Park
