Fuji Photo Day was a great promotion day when fans who brought a camera were allowed to go on the field to meet players before the game started.  Andres (Big Cat) Galarraga was one of many fan favorites during the event.  He went 2 for 5 and scored a run during the game that followed the event and the SF Giants won 8-7 over the Oakland A’s.

I took the photograph with my Nikon E5700 digital camera holding it high above my head to get above the crowd of people to get a shot of the players.  It was hit and miss as I was not able to look through the view finder.  I had to estimate where the camera was aimed at and took as many pictures as I could in a short amount of time.  I used the on-camera flash to illuminate the players’ faces.  There were probably about 5000 fans on the field during the pre-game event.
